Sweden's own Stonehenge!
The Ales Stenar were placed at least 1400 years ago, and consist of 59 boulders weighing close to 2 tonnes each! The entire placement is about 220 feet long, and positioned in the shape of a great ship!
The stones are the main attraction, but the scenic landscape surrounding the landmark is also an attraction unto itself! Perched on top of a cliff 37 metres above the Baltic Sea, enjoy the view before heading down to one of the smokehouse restaurants in the harbour below.
